Professional Training Programs
Throughout the year, the Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce & Industry offers professional training programs designed to enrich the talents of today’s workforce. Program topics vary based on the needs and requests of the business community, and attendees have told us of the valuable experience they have in learning from each.
Building Blocks to Success
These half-day programs are designed for managers, supervisors, team leaders and team members and provide the tools essential to growing your business success. Popular topics include Customer Service, Mentoring & Delegating, Communication Across Generations, Present To Inform, Team Building & Development and Time Management.
As advocates for the business community, these industry specific seminars are offered as informational programs. Throughout the year topics include; hospitality training, customer service, safety and OSHA training, political and candidate forums, City updates, and school board issues.
The purpose and objective of Leadership Marshfield is to identify current and potential leaders in the community and provide a training program that will enhance their ability to function as more effective leaders. Class participants participate in a series of eight informative one-day programs and develop group projects designed to meet each individual’s interests and community needs. The first class graduated in 1993 and every year the program is “tweeked” to stay current and fresh. Leadership Marshfield application is available with program dates for the 2021-22 class. The deadline to apply is early August and class size is limited. Contact program director Karen Isaacson with any questions.
Each year an Alumnus of the Year is nominated and announced at our Annual Meeting in January. To nominate a worthy alumni, please complete the Leadership Marshfield Alumnus of the Year nomination form and return it to Karen Isaacson for the Leadership Marshfield Council’s consideration.
