Dairyfest is an annual community festival honoring the agricultural industry. This event is held on the first weekend after Memorial Day. In 2019, the fun begins on May 31 and the weekend is complete on June 2, 2019. Below is a list of events and activities that are happening during this weekend event that kicks off celebrating the agriculture industry for the month of June. Our theme for 2019 is Dairy Proud and we definitely are! Come join us to celebrate!

Friday, May 31st Events:
5:30 am – 9:30 am: Dairyfest Mayor’s Breakfast located at Central Wisconsin State Fairgrounds, Expo Building
(Tickets: $7 per person, ages 6 & Under are free)
5:00 pm – 8:30 pm: Picnic in the Park at Columbia Park
8:30 pm – 11:00 pm: Movie Night in the Park at Columbia Park
5:00 pm – 10:00 pm: ACO Wisconsin State Championships of Cornhole at Central Wisconsin State Fairgrounds, Expo Building
6:30 pm – 10:30 pm: USA Sanctioned Men’s & Coed Softball Tournaments at Central Wisconsin State Fairgrounds

7:00 am: 28th Annual YMCA Cheese Chase starting at Central Wisconsin State Fairgrounds
8:00 am – 2 pm: “United We CAN” at BMO Harris Parking lot
8:00 am – 4:00 pm: Marshfield Lion’s Club Kids Fishing Contest at Wildwood Park Upper Pond
9:00 am – 10:00 pm: USA Sanctioned Men’s & Coed Softball Tournaments at Central Wisconsin State Fairgrounds
10:00 am – 3:00 pm: North Wood County Historical Society 40th Annual Pie & Ice Cream Social at Upham Mansion
11:00 am: Dairyfest Parade, downtown Marshfield (Dairyfest Parade Application is due by May 25th to MACCI’s office)
11:30 am – 11:00 pm: ACO Wisconsin State Championships of Cornhole at Central Wisconsin State Fairgrounds, Expo Building
12:00 pm – 6 pm: Central City Fun Day at Wenzel Family Plaza, downtown Marshfield
1:00 pm – Midnight: Outdoor Dairyfest Beer Garden at Nutz Deep II
3:00 pm – 6:00 pm: Music in the Plaza at Wenzel Family Plaza
Sunday, June 2nd Events:
8:00 am: 12th Annual Arby’s Dairyfest Fling Disc Golf Tournament at Braem Park
9:00 am – 4:00 pm: USA Sanctioned Men’s & Coed Softball Tournaments at Central Wisconsin State Fairgrounds
1:30 pm: Chaparrals Game at Jack Hackman Field (Chaparrals vs. Abbotsford)
The following are several events where registration is required to participate. However, it is free to attend these events.
The Street Vendor show is an opportunity for artists, crafters, home based businesses, etc., to sell their products and services. To take advantages of this opportunity, download and submit the Dairyfest Street Vendor Application.
The Dairyfest Parade is Saturday, June 1 and kicks off at 11 am from Second Street & Central Avenue. Over 70 parade units will take part in this traditional activity and show why they are Dairy Proud. To enter a parade unit, complete the Dairyfest Parade Application by Friday, May 24, 2019.
Another annual tradition is the Dairyfest Cheese Chase that takes place on Saturday, June 1 starting and finishing at the Marshfield Fairgrounds Park. This is a great activity for everyone and has been taking place for the past 28 years! Get registered asap or if the run/walk isn’t for you, consider volunteering. The aforementioned link provides the necessary information.
The ACO Wisconsin State Championships of Cornhole is another great event that will be held during this weekend. Event times are Friday, May 31 – Saturday, June 1. Everyone is invited to play. $1000 in cash and prizes to be awarded!
The 12th Annual Dairyfest Fling disc golf tournament takes place on Sunday, June 2 at Braem Park & North Wood County Park disc golf courses. Follow the link provided to register. On-site registration is available from 8:00 – 9:00 am at Braem Park Shelter on Sunday.
