Employment Fair Helps Connect Businesses with Job Seekersposted on February 27, 2019
February 25, 2019, Marshfield, WI – After the recent announcement of Figi’s Companies and Bethel Center closures, layoffs, the Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MACCI) started spearheading an area-wide employment fair to help connect employers with job seekers. This event is open to the public and will be held on Thursday, March 7th at UW-Stevens Point at Marshfield campus, located at 2000 West 5th Street. Employer booths will be set up in the university’s gymnasium beginning at 12 pm (Noon) – 5 PM.
Over 70 businesses will be on-site recruiting for professional, technical, and service-related employment opportunities. Approximately 1,500 jobs are currently available including full-time, part-time, casual and seasonal.
Educational and resource organizations will also be available to provide career exploration/skill development information. This will be a great one-stop event to explore the many jobs available in the central Wisconsin area.
